Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, invites online applications for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS), and Senior Accounts Officer (SAO). Salary
- LDC: Level 2 Pay Matrix (Rs. 15,900 to Rs. 50,400)
- JHS: Level 6 Pay Matrix (approx Rs. 35,400+)
- SAO: Level 10 Pay Matrix (approx Rs. 56,100+)

- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 9 posts
- Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS): 9 posts
- Senior Accounts Officer (SAO): 1 post
Qualification
- LDC: 12th pass or equivalent with typing skills (English or Hindi)
- JHS: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience or equivalent naval experience in hydrography
- SAO: Degree in Commerce or equivalent with CA/ICWA/ Audit qualifications and supervisory experience in accounts/finance
Age Eligibility
- LDC: 18 to 27 years
- JHS: Up to 30 years
- SAO: Up to 35 years
- Relaxation applicable as per category rules
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years
- PwD: Up to 15 years depending on category
- Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates as per government norms
Offline or Online Exam
- Computer Based Test (CBT) for all posts
- Skill Test in typing for LDC post for candidates qualifying in CBT
- Interview for SAO post after CBT qualification
- Examination centers include New Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Patna, Kochi
- Admit cards available from website prior to exam
