Salary
- Annual CTC approximately ₹17-18 Lakhs (excludes free medical cover and other benefits).
- Monthly stipend during training at IMA: ₹56,400.
- Pay matrix on commission: Starting Pay ₹56,100 (Level 10), with increments and allowances.
- Additional allowances: Military Service Pay, Field Area Allowances, Transport Allowances, Children Education Allowance, etc.

Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from recognized universities listed under specified core engineering streams (like Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, etc.).
- Candidates in the final year of engineering can also apply if they can produce proof of passing by 1st July 2026.
- Engineering streams and their acceptable equivalents are specified in detail in the official notification.
Age Eligibility
- Minimum age: 20 years
- Maximum age: 27 years
- Candidates born between 1 July 1999 and 30 June 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible.
Age Relaxation
- As per Government of India and Indian Army norms, applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) as detailed in the official notification.
Offline or Online Exam
- Selection Process:
- Shortlisting of applications based on academic performance.
- Service Selection Board (SSB) interview (physical & psychological tests).
- Medical examination.
- Exam Mode: No written exam for TGC; selection is based on SSB interview and medical fitness.
- SSB interviews are conducted offline at designated centers (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar).
