Salary
- Pay Level: Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400) as per 7th CPC
- Additional allowances: DA, HRA, TA, and other railway-specific benefits
- Total in-hand salary: Approx. ₹45,000 – ₹55,000 depending on location and allowances
Qualification
- Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields) from a recognized institution.
- Candidates appearing in the final year may also apply provisionally.

- Maximum Age: 33 years (as on closing date)

Offline or Online Exam
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – Stage 1 & Stage 2
- CBT Stage 1: 90 minutes, 100 MCQs (General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Technical Ability)
- CBT Stage 2: 120 minutes, 150 MCQs (Technical Subjects, General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers)
- Document Verification
- Medical Fitness Test
- No negative marking in Stage 1; 1/3rd negative marking in Stage 2
